Review: The Black Sable #3

The crew of The Black Sable have been in tough spots before, but this might be their toughest yet. Caught in the middle of a triangle of death between the deadly Space Kraken, Captain Blood and the Federation, their quest for the lost treasure they seek is put on hold as they look for a miracle that can get them out alive.

We get a look at the mercenaries that Captain Sable ha hired and what they are all about – I would have liked to seen them more in action, but nevertheless, they do serve a purpose. The space kraken is really well dealt with, with some good sci-fi action going on.
We get some flashbacks of the Captain’s past, why she does what she does and her own moral code. It is an interesting one, and I’m sure it will have some ramifications too.
We also get some further flashbacks about the Maw and their like, and their effect on some of the other characters!

Next up is the vicious Captain Blood and just how he links up with Captain Sable – it may be a link that she is unaware of, with some interesting ramifications going forward!

There are a lot of characters being put into place in this issue, and only some of them are there, the Maw are the wild card, with not a lot of them happening to people.

This was a slower issue, but the cliffhanger seems to have been set up!
