Review: 2000 AD – Prog 2062

My thoughts on this weeks 2000 AD – Prog 2062

Thrills of the Future – Durham Red will be returning to the pages of 2000 AD soon!

JUDGE DREDD: ECHOES by Michael Carroll (w) Colin MacNeil (a) Chris Blythe (c) Annie Parkhouse (l)

This is quite a creepy one, as Dredd and the other Judge spend their time on the scene of the nuking of East Meg One. Something seems to be infecting them, and they want Dredd – it’s like its the spirits of the City looking for vengeance – I’m sure Dredd deosn’t think that though. He’s still injured, and I wonder how this will pan out as they come under another attack!

SAVAGE: THE THOUSAND YEAR STARE by Pat Mills (w) Patrick Goddard (a) Ellie De Ville (l)

The fast paced attack by the Straw Dogs continues and the art in this issue matches the pace of the action. I like the attack on the train, and Savage’s  escape idea is a good one. Just as it looks like they are out of trouble, they are into more! There are more trust issues in this issue too!

BRASS SUN: ENGINE SUMMER by Ian Edginton (w) INJ Culbard (a) Ellie De Ville (l)

We get some reasoning in this issue, we also get an understanding into what the enemy is and why they are. There is also some plotting and scheming going on, which I expect is going to come to a head very soon! I liked this issue more than the last!

ABC WARRIORS: FALLOUT by Pat Mills (w) Clint Langley (a) Annie Parkhouse (l)

The plan to discredit the ABC Warriors is in full swing here, and it looks like it will eventually work, until that last page! This was a good look at ‘the other side’ with some interesting points and brilliant art!

BAD COMPANY: TERRORISTS by Peter Milligan (w) Rufus Dayglo (a) Dom Regan (c) Simon Bowland (l)

Bad Company seem to have a mission now, and that focuses the mind – even if it is as fractured as these! There is a little action here, and the whole issue is pretty mad with different effects and trauma from the war!
