Review: 2000 AD – Prog 2064

Some thoughts on this week’s 2000 AD

JUDGE DREDD: ECHOES by Michael Carroll (w) Colin MacNeil (a) Chris Blythe (c) Annie Parkhouse (l)

Echoes completes the arc well and leads us nicely into the next one. There is a nice twist here, and the reasoning behind all the lost souls from the Apocalypse War is well done. Something to maybe use for a future arc?
Nevertheless, things don’t look they are going to settle down for Dredd yet!

SAVAGE: THE THOUSAND YEAR STARE by Pat Mills (w) Patrick Goddard (a) Ellie De Ville (l)

Trust comes into it all again, with Bill not trusting with Nika wanting to trust Bill! We also get the reasoning behind the name of The Thousand Year Stare and what it involves. the action and betrayal looks like it’s picking up, next issue will be good!

BRASS SUN: ENGINE SUMMER by Ian Edginton (w) INJ Culbard (a) Ellie De Ville (l)

A decision is made, and hopefully it is for the greater good. There is some reasons behind this all and i can understand both are in the position they are in. Things looks like they are going to get worse, but there may be a plan….

BAD COMPANY: TERRORISTS by Peter Milligan (w) Rufus Dayglo (a) Dom Regan (c) Simon Bowland (l)

This is all action in the arena, with some old school 2000AD gore and action. I really like this issue, with the build up to rescuing an old member of Bad company. Kano seems a little soft, but I guess that’s the drugs he’s on. Mac’s reaction though….. 🙂

ABC WARRIORS: FALLOUT by Pat Mills (w) Clint Langley (a) Annie Parkhouse (l)

Some amazing art here, as Mars is the basis of this issue. There is some good dark humour as people die, and there isn’t too much ABC Warrior action – There is the lead to this new war, and next issue looks to have some though!
