Review: 2000 AD – Prog 2069

Some thoughts on this weeks 2000 AD – Prog 2069

JUDGE DREDD: LIVE EVIL by Ian Edginton (w) Dave Taylor (a) Annie Parkhouse (l)

A new Dredd arc, with Dredd recovered from his trip to the East meg. It seems like a ship has returned early from space, with the crew all dead – murdered! It is a complete mystery as to why and who did it, so although there’s not a lot to go on, this seems more like a horror Dredd story!

BAD COMPANY: TERRORISTS by Peter Milligan (w) Rufus Dayglo (a) Dom Regan (c) Simon Bowland (l)

The hunt for the officer continues from both sides. Bad Company seem to be getting a little more sane, but there are some casualties! It’s real peaks and valleys in this story!

SAVAGE: THE THOUSAND YEAR STARE by Pat Mills (w) Patrick Goddard (a) Ellie De Ville (l)

Savage and Quartz seem to come to an arrangement – a truce – but it’s a shakey one, and the sniping between the two are really good. You so want to see Quartz get his comeuppance, so hopefully soon. The ending is a  good cliffhanger too!

BRASS SUN: ENGINE SUMMER by Ian Edginton (w) INJ Culbard (a) Ellie De Ville (l)

A change of scenery in Brass Sun, and a fast forward by 3-5 years! There is a new problem to face, and it’s spreading across the solar system! It looks like Wren is going to get dragged in again, and I’m looking forward to seeing where this will go!

ABC WARRIORS: FALLOUT by Pat Mills (w) Clint Langley (a) Annie Parkhouse (l)

It’s all battle in this issue, and there are robots against robots. It’s an intense issue with some great spreads and panals!
