Review: The Consultant #2

Some thoughts on The Consultant #2 from Action Lab: Danger Zone

After a client’s devastating arrest, Marcus rushes to eliminate any and all evidence that could implicate the rest of his rolodex. While The Guardian’s frantically scour the globe, Arzon investigates the leak that led to Spartan’s incarceration. When another hero is tragically attacked, it results in an epic clash between the team and the authorities.

This issue has a nice mix of action and intrigue!
Spartan’s incarceration has caused lots of problems – he seems to have dirt on a number of the team and they need to look into how and who is involved. The revelation of the ‘dirt’ was well done, with the Wonder Woman analogue – Athena – not here to protect, but to take over. Although her plan will take some time, so that’s not seen as a worry.
Marcus is unaware as to who is plotting against him, and there are some nice to-and-fro’s between him and the team.

The action is well done, with some collateral damage, but it is some traditional superhero action with the problems in the background.

This is turning into a good mystery, with some great ideas!
