Some thoughts on two of this weeks comics from Zenescope – Van Helsing Vs Robyn Hood #3 & Hellchild Inferno
Van Helsing Vs Robyn Hood #3
It’s a race against time as Van Helsing and Igor hunt for Robyn before she drinks human blood thus turning her into a vampire forever.
Story – Joe Brusha, Ralph Tedesco & Dave Franchini
Writer – Ralph Tedesco
Art – Allan Otero
Colours – Leonardo Paciarotti
Letters – Taylor Esposito
This issue is quite a lot of action. Von makes his moves against the other crime bosses, and that goes the way in which you would expect. Violent and bloody! This continues with Van Helsing’s hunt for Robyn. It seems the change has taken her quite a lot, and she’s not happy.
This has a good amount of story, humour and action. With Van Helsing supplying most of the humour – this is rare, but understandable! I like the finish as well, as it leaves it open for the final issue!
All hell breaks loose when Inferno and Hellchild crossover in an epic One-Shot issue that could level all of existence! For the first time ever Angelica Blackstone meets Mercy Dante in what could be the very last time we see either one of them in the Grimm Universe.

Although this is a one-shot, this does look to be something bigger! Hellchild and Dante get mixed up with other people, and end up fighting. The fight itself is very well done, with each getting their licks in. I like the finish too, as it leaves it open as to who would have won….
We soon find out who the real enemy is, with a family reunion of sorts for Hellchild, and a link to her child. It’s interesting because I think there is going to be something happening to this story line in the future, and I can see it being big!
An enjoyable one-shot, with some good art and action scenes – worth reading to prepare for the story to come!
