Review: Lizard Men #2

Less than a week to go on this excellent Kickstarter. I’ve had the chance to review it!

Riding a tidal wave of optimism, your new favourite singer is Prime Minister of Great Britain. Events turn even more unlikely when he and his plans for change meet the shapeshifting lizard people that really *are* in charge of the world…

Kicking off to a nice flashback we see our new Prime Minister getting his Brit Award, and the announcement that he’s going into politics. The reactions are well done, especially those watching at home – and that segway leads us nicely into the ‘now’.

Dylan actually comes across quite well here, he’s not everyone’s cup of tea, but there are some redeeming features.
This issue is quite fast moving and works well – it re-emphasises the threat from last issue, this is done in a really clever way – with a possible link to the past, as well as potential problems for Dylan…..

We also get a look at some of the other players, there is a truce in place, but we don’t get too many details, this has my curiosity….

The art, lettering and colouring continue to be excellent, with some really well laid out scenes, and some brilliant reaction shots. The colouring works really well with the more trippy aspects.

Learning the true power behind the government is getting really interesting, and it looks like there is the perfect leader to fight back!

There’s less than a week to go on the Kickstarter and it is already funded. You can get issue #1 in the rewards if you’ve missed out first time around and there are stretch goals in the offing!
