Review: 100% Biodegradable #20

Some thoughts on the latest stories in issue #20 of 100% Biodegradable

Kicking off with a funny three panel strip called ‘Eat Me‘ – this really made me smile!

Funguys: The Last Supper has the Funguys gatecrashing one of the most famous parties. There is a fair amount of blasphemy here, and the dynamic between the two fungus and the straight laced disciples and Jesus is pretty funny. Things always work out!

Time Waits is a nice future shock style story, with some good comments on time travel, as well as those left behind by the latest fashions! the art is really good and I like the sense of humour of it all!

Rubbernorc: Vital Delivery features a plan to deliver booze to the spacemen up in a space station! There’s always something you forget though, and I like the way it’s built up until the final panel *face/palm*
It was a ‘vital delivery’ though!

More time travel fun in Wrong Place, Wrong Time – I like the way this social commentary is told, with a bit of humour thrown in. The protagonist not having any dialog was well done too – just reacting around him!

Pet Peeve/Ersatz Pussy Cat – A funny look at pets, with the thoughts about the differences between dogs and cats. Perfect!

Skowdogs is pretty much all action, but there is some snappy banter in the midst of battle too. There is alien tech, aliens and something else at the end. I can see this isn’t over yet!

Population control with dwindling resources is a hot topic at the moment (spoilers) and Supply and Demand gives us a different look at that with government sanctioned murder! The twists are quick an funny in this story right to the end!

Rumblebot Rampage mixed it up a bit, I did see the twist coming, but it was fun to read, with some good classic art for the story!

Elevator is a creepy horror short, set around an elevator. Really well done, and plotted.

Tense is a nice single page experiment in sequential art. Lovely colours and well told!

Issue #20 was a classic anthology read, packed full of some excellent stories!
