JUDGE DREDD: COMMUTER PAIN by Rory McConville (w) Lee Carter (a) Annie Parkhouse (l)
A one-shot story featuring the drudge of working in Mega City One. The build up is really good and it gives us a different look at some of the citizens. Dredd is a supporting character in this story, but it works really well. I like the finish, and Dredd’s comments too! The art is excellent it really adds to the tone!
THE ORDER: THE NEW WORLD by Kek-W (w) John Burns (a) Annie Parkhouse (l)
The Order moves over to the USA, with some alternate looks at history. We get a couple of new characters and friends of Anna too. The mix of history and the fantasy work really well, and I wonder how this will all lead out!
TERROR TALES: THE TICKET by Paul Tobin (w) Dan Cornwell (a) Simon Bowland (l)
This was a fun Terror Tale – with the last ride and a good amount of humour. How do you defeat Death? With the system, the panic of Death is excellent, and the ending is perfect!
THE FALL OF DEADWORLD by Kek-W (w) Dave Kendall (a) Ellie De Ville (l)
The attack on the sector house is underway. There is a lot of Psi attacks in this issue, and I have no idea what’s going to happen. The buildup though is really good, and I’m just waiting for everything to slot into place!
GREY AREA: K.I.A. by Dan Abnett (w) Mark Harrison (a) Ellie De Ville (l)
Grey Area starts with a bang. Things are still tense after the last arc, and it looks like things are going to get worse. The panel layouts are excellent, and give a real idea of size!
