Comichaus #11
‘Nightswimming’
Script: Mark Mccann
Art: Adam Brown
Letters: Jones
This kicks us off with a nice bit of mythic horror! I recognised the story originally, but couldn’t remember the name. The myth itself is pretty gruesome and the buildup is well done. The pretty woman and those who want to see her. I like the tone of this story, with a good ending for it all!
‘Taste of Freedom’
Script: Gary Chudleigh
Art/letters: Ell Balson
Taste of freedom is right, they do get a taste of freedom! I like the way this was told, with some good humour and a well told story. The finish is especially delicious!
‘Blasphemy’
Script: George Fredericks
Art: Anna Morozova
Letters: Anna Morozova
Anna is the winner of the 2018 University of Dundee Competition
A nice bit of world building here. I love the art style and it fits in well with the otherworldly feel to all of this.
‘World War II Cadavers’
Script: Matt Hardy
Art: Ed Bentley
Letters: Rob Jones
A nice link to the Cadavers world here in ‘World War C’ The location and the theme is very well done, and it makes a nice link to the main Cadavers story, without missing out. I like the art and the reaction shots are really well done!
‘There Was an Old Lady..’
Script: Sam Gardner Jr
Art: Jake Rowlinson
Letters: Ken Reynolds
This is an awesome ‘Future Shocks’ style of story. There’s a lot of science going on, but it’s well told and has a nice beginning, middle and end. I like the build up to the ending, which happens with a bang!
