Review: Paradise Court #2

People are going missing in Paradise Court and only Amy seems to think something sinister is behind their disappearances. No one else wants to believe that something evil is stalking their idealistic, gated community. But beneath the surface of this false paradise lurks a secret so dark that death will seem like a pleasant escape for those it comes to.

A grizzly front cover for this issue – setting the tone for the series, and the issue!

This issue had a lot of build up. The suspense is there. There is a good amount of suspicion, with creepy people and (eventually) some more gruesome murders!
The reaction  of the locals of Paradise Court is interesting, and I wonder how many of them are in on the seemingly ritual murders. It looks like some of the locals are aware of the problems too, with one making a distinct impression (twice) on Amy. Her previous experiences seem to be clouding her judgement in her friends eyes, so she will have a hard time convincing them of what is happening. Meanwhile the bodycount continues to rise, with no ideas of who is responsible!

I’m really enjoying the art in this series, the colouring with the desert scenes is especially good, with some good scenes!
