Belle: Beast Hunter #5

It’s Belle vs Beast in this penultimate issue! Belle faces the deadliest battle of her life and what she discovers will change everything!

The Grimm Universe is filled with heroes far and wide dealing with all kinds of threats, from vampires and werewolves to corrupt government organizations and ancient orders battling for control of the realms of power. But what lies in the deepest corners of our world could give the evilest creature nightmares. A threat since the beginning of time is rising, and only one person will be there to stop it from destroying everything. Introducing the newest ally in the war of monsters: Belle the Beast Hunter!

Belle’s chase after the beast takes her underground. She gets some early ‘wins’ against the creatures that dwell there. Just as things are looking bleak though, we get some good flashbacks to her past. We also get some about her brother too. Alex gets a mention after a few issues away. This was also well done.
The fight between Belle and Beast works really well. The space is a little confined, but I like the way the fight was laid out.

Yes there is a major twist at the end, and it’s worth checking that out – I do wonder how this will all wrap up!
