Review: 2000 AD – Prog 2108

Here’s my thoughts on this weeks 2000 AD from Rebellion – Prog 2108 with Dredd, Brink, Skip Tracer and Tharg’s 3hrillers!

A popping front cover there!

Scarlet Traces is on it’s way back to the pages of 2000 AD!

JUDGE DREDD: THE SMALL HOUSE

by Rob Williams (w) Henry Flint (a) Chris Blythe (c) Annie Parkhouse (l)

End game is coming. Dredd goes to the Smiley’s lair, but he’s not there. There’s more taunting from Smiley and an unwelcome surprise. This was another killer ending, with another death. Sad to see, but it works well in the story! Looking forward to the next issue already!

SKIP TRACER: LEGION

by James Peaty (w) Colin MacNeil (a) Dylan Teague (c) Ellie De Ville (l)

This arc completes and it’s not without its casualties. There are some real touching moments in this issue, and this look into another side of Skip’s life is interesting. It does feel like a slight diversion from something bigger, and I’m glad to see it will return!

BRINK: HIGH SOCIETY

by Dan Abnett (w) INJ Culbard (a) Simon Bowland (l)

We get a nice rundown of the events and what has happened previously. The real problems coming at the end, and this has just made the whole issue undercover more interesting (and difficult) I like the way this was all rundown, with some good discussions. Next issue will be interesting!

THARG’S 3RILLERS: INFESTINAUTS ARE GO!

by Arthur Wyatt (w) Pye Parr (a+l)

An excellent ending and I hope the question mark means there will be more from this story. I like the way it was all built up – over a battlefield unlike most we’ve seen. The art is excellent and there is some dark humour in here too!

KINGDOM: ALPHA AND OMEGA

by Dan Abnett (w) Richard Elson (a) Abigail Bulmer (c) Ellie De Ville (l)

Gene gets whet here! There is some good action as the bit of earth they are near goes to hell. I like the way this was all laid out, and Gene has got a fight on his hands!
