Review: Grimm Fairy Tales 2019 Annual

Some thoughts on this special Grimm Fairy Tales issue!

From the creative team who brought you Grimm Fairy Tales, writer, Joe Brusha, along with artists Eman Casallos and Jorge Cortes, comes the first part of the two-part, pulse-pounding conclusion to the Age of Camelot story arc!

Grimm Fairy Tales: 2019 Annual

With the Grail restored, Merlin has become the most powerful being in the entire Grimm Universe. Camelot has been resurrected with him as its ruler. Now, Merlin and his knights have their sights set on conquering the earth, and only Skye and a handful of heroes can stop them.

Writer: Joe Brusha

Merlin seems to have all he wants. The Realm Knights are defeated and the attack on Earth has begun. He’s also reorganizing his underlings too. There was an interesting scene with Talisman, and I wonder if that is linked to the end? The battle on Earth takes a turn and Van Helsing’s plan seems to have work. Merlin seems to be having trouble of his own, before fighting Shang! The groups are split up before the end, and it seems like there is a lot to do before the ending – that’s why it’s in the Giant-Size issue!
There’s some good build up to the end here, and I’m looking forward to seeing how this all concludes!
