Review: 2000 AD – Prog 2121

Some thoughts on this weeks edition of 2000 AD – Prog 2121

JUDGE DREDD: MACHINE LAW by John Wagner (w) Colin MacNeil (a) Chris Blythe (c) Annie Parkhouse (l)

Tensions are really rising, and it looks like Dredd is being forced into making a decision. I think I can see where this is leading and it will be interesting to see the fallout from this all. It’s good to see that Dredd has some friends left!

SKIP TRACER: LOUDER THAN BOMBS by James Peaty (w) Paul Marshall (a) Quinto Winter (c) (a) Ellie De Ville (l)

The stakes are really high here, and it looks like Skip has found what he is looking for. Will it be in time though? That is the question. There is a lot of powerful people against him, and it seems that he won’t make it! A good issue, showcasing more of his powers too!

THARG’S 3RILLERS: TOOTH AND NAIL by Andi Ewington (w) Staz Johnson (a) Abigail Bulmer (c) Simon Bowland (l)

The interrogation continues. We find out why the attack was there and what the targets were. The Gangsters are really not happy and it seems like they are going to do anything to get the information. They’ve got a name, and there seems to be some resonance at the end. One more to go and all the answers!!

GREY AREA: THE GREY & THE BLACK by Dan Abnett (w) Mark Harrison (a) Ellie De Ville (l)

it’s all going to come out. Kym and her partner get some much needed payback and there is a nice reunion. I liked some of the timing in this issue, and will be interested to see where it goes next!

JAEGIR: BONEGRINDER by Gordon Rennie (w) Simon Coleby (a) Len O’Grady (c) Annie Parkhouse

Jaegir seems to have a plan to save her people. It’s an interesting scheme and may cause her more personal trouble later. It’s low on action in this issue, but high in tension!
