Some thoughts on Prog 2123 of 2000 AD
JUDGE DREDD: CITIZENSHIP by Rory McConville (w) Jake Lynch (a) John Charles (c) Annie Parkhouse (l)
A nice one-shot Dredd story. Concentrating on one more problem citizens of Mega City One have. It’s a twisted tale with a nasty ending. Given and extra screw by the Judges!
SURVIVAL GEEKS: DUNGEONS & DATING by Emma Beeby, Gordon Rennie (w) Neil Googe (a) Gary Caldwell (c) Annie Parkhouse Ville (l)
The survival geeks go D&D in this new arc, and this already looks like it’s going to be pretty funny. There are a couple of twists here, and I like the cliffhanger ending, which is going to make everything worse!!
KINGMAKER: OUROBOROS by Ian Edginton (w) Leigh Gallagher (a) Ellie De Ville (l)
This looks to be a great arc. It’s got a feeling of something very familiar here, with some nice touches and the art is excellent. I love the twist at the end, and this is going to be a fun read!
GREY AREA: MAKING HISTORY by Dan Abnett (w) Mark Harrison (a) Ellie De Ville (l)
I wasn’t expecting a new Great Area arc this quick, but things follow on well from the previous one. The end panel is all the threat, everything else is building up to it.
And things look very bad!
