Review: 2000 AD – Prog 2126

Some thoughts on Prog 2126 of 2000 AD

In this issue:
JUDGE DREDD: THE LONG GAME by Michael Carroll (w) M ark Sexton (a) John Charles (c) Annie Parkhouse (l)

A new arc for Dredd, and he is a peripheral character in this issue. What it is doing is building up the seedy underbelly of Mega City 1 and also a new group. Those who do things the Judges don’t!

SURVIVAL GEEKS: DUNGEONS & DATING (BASIC) by Emma Beeby, Gordon Rennie (w) Neil Googe (a) Gary Caldwell (c) Annie Parkhouse (l)

A bit of a flashback here, and there are some deep points. I love the boss reference at the end too!

KINGMAKER: OUROBOROS by Ian Edginton (w) Leigh Gallagher (a) Ellie De Ville (l)

Quite a lot happens here, with some bonding between the trio – well two of them. We also get the worlds very own “Mines of Moria” too! With a good bit of history – I wonder where this bit will lead!

MAX NORMAL: HOW THE MAX GOT HIS STRIPES by Guy Adams (w) Dan Cornwell (a) Jim Boswell (c) Simon Bowland (l)

Max when he was younger was a scamp – but we get to see where he got his style from and obviously a hero to him. Next issue will be interesting!

SCARLET TRACES: HOME FRONT by Ian Edginton (w) D’Israeli (a) Ellie De Ville (l)

The invasion is coming and people are starting to panic. The people’s reaction is interesting and very on the nose. I like the reverse physiology and the reaction to it – looks like we’ve got a space battle coming!
