Review: The Transformers #3

The latest issue of the rebooted Transformers is out now, here are my thoughts!

High above Cybertron, the planet’s inner moon unfolds to become a gigantic energon harvester, a magnificent show for Bumblebee and his new friend. Meanwhile, Megatron is assembling a new security force, but rumors abound about the new team. A cosmic epic of grand scale, presented by Star Trek/Green Lantern and Injustice 2 artist Angel Hernandez! Plus awesome action by G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero and Revolutionaries artist Ron Joseph! A brand new era of Transformers! Featuring 35th Anniversary covers by Guido Guidi!

Angel Hernandez – Artist
Ron Joseph – Colorist

Guido Guidi – Variant Cover Artist
Anna Malkova – Variant Cover Artist
Some amazing covers for this issue!

This was a highly charged adn tense issue. Megatron is featured, but only as a reaction really. It’s very interesting and there is a lot to take in with the death and the rise of the soon-to-be-Decepticons. There is a nice hint from this from Orion Pax! I like the movements of all the others, while the new Transformer is stuck in the middle of it all. Although he may be part of it!
Quake is an interesting addition, with a little backstory to him and the way the Autobots try to ‘fix’ others. This is a real thriller of a transformers story and is a brilliant read!!
