Some thoughts on this weeks 2000 AD – Prog 2133
JUDGE DREDD: NEW BLOOD by Rory McConville (w) Siku (a) Annie Parkhouse (l)
A nice ending to the story, but it does leave some questions unanswered. I like the way we get a look at the cadets who don’t make the grade. Dredd seems unshaken by this and I think this just adds to his views. A good two-parter!
THARG’S THRILLERS: THE CHIMERA by James Peaty (w) Brian Corcoran (a) Matt Soffe (c) Annie Parkhouse (l)
Completing this Thriller, there is a good ending to the story – I like the way it is a look at the way we could go. It had a good twist at the end, and I liked the final panel!
KINGMAKER: OUROBOROS by Ian Edginton (w) Leigh Gallagher (a) Ellie De Ville (l)
This was quite intense. It had some very interesting moments, and I wonder (along with the characters) may wonder how this pans out. Amazing art too!
MAX NORMAL: HOW THE MAX GOT HIS STRIPES by Guy Adams (w) Dan Cornwell (a) Jim Boswell (c) Simon Bowland (l)
Max’s adventures continue, and we get some answers from Max’s history – that he didn’t know about! I like the build up, and the gruesome end!
SCARLET TRACES: HOME FRONT by Ian Edginton (w) D’Israeli (a) Ellie De Ville (l)
We get to see how the survivors have to hide, it’s quite grim. We do get some interesting insight into the invasion from another point of view – that may be something we have to take note of later!
