Review – Oz: Heart of Magic #4

Some thoughts on the penultimate issue of Oz: Heart Of Magic #4 from Zenescope Entertainment

Oz: Heart Of Magic #4

Synopsis: Dorothy and friends free Glinda and Adraste, but something—make that a lot of somethings—would see them all dead. Is it too late for the world of Oz anyway? Back in Emerald City, the Heart of Oz is finally unearthed—and nobody was expecting what they found. And the truth about the Wizard is revealed, as his power grows even more dangerous!

Writer: Terry Kavanagh
Artwork: Marcelo Mueller | Leonardo Paciarotti

There’s a lot packed in here. I suppose it’s leading to a final battle though!
I like the action, (less with dragons than you would think!) and the Scarecrow finally discovered he is being played. It’s a bit late for him though as he is in jail. The look back was interesting though, and I wonder if that will lead to anything?!
Dorothy makes some interesting discoveries and it’s her turn to make a sacrifice. What this means for the ending will be very interesting. That seems to be a theme of the story and I’ll be interested to see if we get a full conclusion – or something more!
