Some thoughts on this weeks 2000 AD – Prog 2152
JUDGE DREDD: GUATEMALA by John Wagner (w) Colin MacNeil (a) Chris Blythe (c) Annie Parkhouse (l)
It’s quite interesting seeing Dredd do the diplomatic route here. I enjoyed this issue and the President seems very interesting, I don’t think he’s going to last….
DEFOE: THE DIVISOR by Pat Mills (w) SK Moore (a) Ellie De Ville (l)
A last minute rescue, with some good moments with Defoe – especially about the death of the Vizzards! I like the build on this, and the thought of an otherworldly evil is excellent!
BRINK: HATE BOX by Dan Abnett (w) INJ Culbard (a) Simon Bowland (l)
This was a nice building issue, with a re-introduction to the world and the crimes therein. I like the familiar feel for it all, as well as how it was built up. I nice mellow finish too!
HOPE: UNDER FIRE by Guy Adams (w) Jimmy Broxton (a) Ellie De Ville (l)
Some amazing art here, with a beating and then the flashbacks. I like the way it all got together and the next issue is going to be mad(der).
THE FALL OF DEADWORLD: DOOMED by Kek-W (w) Dave Kendall (a) Annie Parkhouse (l)
This was mayhem – I like Judge Fire, and the set up for it all. There are some mad bits here, and then there are the Sovs!
