Some thoughts on this weeks 2000 AD – Prog 2156
JUDGE DREDD: GUATEMALA by John Wagner (w) Colin MacNeil (a) Chris Blythe (c) Annie Parkhouse (l)
Some executive action from the Judges – well done and it really ramps up the tension. I like Dredd’s thoughts on the robots – especially the Judge-mechs!
DEFOE: THE DIVISOR by Pat Mills (w) SK Moore (a) Ellie De Ville (l)
This was just the taster – Defoe seems defeated, but so does his foe! The build up to the problems on the Dutch shuttle were well done, and I liked the way it ended!
BRINK: HATE BOX by Dan Abnett (w) INJ Culbard (a) Simon Bowland (l)
An interesting look at another side of town – one that doesn’t get fined for swearing. It’s an interesting build up, and the final panel just adds to the tension.
How will Bridget react?
HOPE: UNDER FIRE by Guy Adams (w) Jimmy Broxton (a) Ellie De Ville (l)
An interesting twist to the problems of Hope. We get the reasons why things are going so badly on this case, but we still haven’t got to the bottom of it all.
THE FALL OF DEADWORLD: DOOMED by Kek-W (w) Dave Kendall (a) Annie Parkhouse (l)
Fire and battle, we get a good, well done fight scene here. I like the look at the mind of the judge and the team seem to be working together – for now!
