That’s a pretty standard set up at the beginning of this issue, but it does the trick well and sets the scene.
This issue is all about the set up. It’s about two sides that don’t like or trust each other, learning to trust each other!
This gave a big set up to what’s to come in issue #2 I like the way this gets some of the characters motivations and it gets the ball rolling pretty quickly. The entry of the squad is going to take some blame in the next issue, but that was to be expected.
I liked the art in this and the classic monster looks are really well done – especially the werewolf. The other monsters are still a little shadowy – more reptile or dinosaur, I wonder if that is some sort of regression?
I’m interested to see where this will go, and I expect there are some twists and betrayals to come!
