Spotlight: Get Woke #1 – Coming Soon!

Coming soon on Kickstarter – Get Woke #1

Imagine a world in which ALL conspiracies are true. A world of
secret societies, shadow governments, aliens and monsters. No need to
imagine too hard, that’s the world we live in today. And if such evil
exists, which it does, humanity is going to need a very special team of
heroes to protect it from the horrors that lurk behind the curtain of
our false reality…

Elvis Presley, Michael Jackson, Princess Diana, Bigfoot and the
disembodied brain of JFK battle evil in a world where all conspiracy
theories are true.

Don’t believe in conspiracies? You need to…GET WOKE

Writer: Tim West
Artist: Kevin McCullough

Get Woke #1

Imagine all the conspiracy theories you can.
No, more…
That’s it – they are all combined in one crazy comic from Tim West. Get Woke features someone who is truly woke! Kicking off fast, we get a good look at Woke’s family life, which is done very nicely and tongue in cheek – I especially enjoy the parents comments about his visit. Then off to Washington where things go downhill fast.
This is a crazy read, with a lot going on. There is so much squeezed into one comic, you really get what it’s worth. The art is clever and bright, with some excellent scenes. I especially like the celeb cameos in this issue – the likenesses are very well done.
Combined this is a very fun, very interesting comic, with some fast paced storytelling and some fun scenes. The art, colours and lettering are well done, and it’s not a hard read.
With that in mind, it has a lot of re-read value, with some nice jokes and a lot of information to take in!

Get Woke #1 is coming soon on Kickstarter – keep an eye out!!
