Review: 2000 AD – Prog 2163

Some thoughts on this weeks 2000 AD – Prog 2163

JUDGE DREDD: KILL BLOOPY by Kenneth Niemand (w) Dan Cornwell (a) Jim Boswell (c) Annie Parkhouse (l)

Another thing for Dredd to deal with! This was an interesting issue and I assumed that it was being done for more laughs thank serious, then I got to the final page. That said there are some really good comedic moments here!

BRINK: HATE BOX by Dan Abnett (w) INJ Culbard (a) Simon Bowland (l)

Kurtis gets some ‘home’ truths in this issue and it all wheels back to sect-crime. This is getting deeper, and I think I know what happened with her father. I liked the ending as everything came back online – and Kurtis’s reaction was perfect in the final panel!

PROTEUS VEX: ANOTHER DAWN by Michael Carroll (w) Henry Flint (a) Simon Bowland (l)

An interesting history lesson here, with Proteus Vex defending himself and the decisions made. they may not have been the best ones, but they were done and the enemy defeated. What secrets does the Chancellor know? That is interesting!

THE ZAUCER OF ZILK: A ZAUCERFUL OF SECRETS by Peter Hogan (w) Brendan McCarthy (a+c) Len O’Grady (c) Jim Campbell (l)

Zilk seems to have a way to get his wand – after getting a loan from his new friend. Meanwhile, it looks like things are happening behind the scenes in this crazy story!

FERAL & FOE by Dan Abnett (w) Richard Elson (a+c) Joe Elson (c) Annie Parkhouse (l)

That’s the first job out of the way. it wasn’t easy and it wasn’t clean, so this series continues! I like the art and the dynamic between the two characters!
