Review: 2000 AD – Prog 2164

Some thoughts on Prog 2164 of 2000 AD – out now!

JUDGE DREDD: KILL BLOOPY by Kenneth Niemand (w) Dan Cornwell (a) Jim Boswell (c) Annie Parkhouse (l)

An interesting moment for Dredd here – does he have an imaginary friend? Interesting. Meanwhile we get the lowdown on the attacker and how strong he is – he’s not happy with Bloopy….!

BRINK: HATE BOX by Dan Abnett (w) INJ Culbard (a) Simon Bowland (l)

Kurtis is making her links, and it looks like she’s going to get the chance to make them solid. There are some interesting ideas here, and I wonder how this is going to all end up – and what’s on the clip (I hope it’s not a little girl in a well!)

PROTEUS VEX: ANOTHER DAWN by Michael Carroll (w) Henry Flint (a) Simon Bowland (l)

The decision was made and there is some extra information about the missing chancellor. This is not just a manhunt, but also a mystery – I’m getting into this story more and more!

THE ZAUCER OF ZILK: A ZAUCERFUL OF SECRETS by Peter Hogan (w) Brendan McCarthy (a+c) Len O’Grady (c) Jim Campbell (l)

The fancy pants are stampeding and the mind is in control (maybe) Zaucer on the otherhand has found his wand – but there is a problem – for next issue!

FERAL & FOE by Dan Abnett (w) Richard Elson (a+c) Joe Elson (c) Annie Parkhouse (l)

They’ve found a tank – and he’s really annoying, but he may just do the job. I like the flashbacks and the information about the previous tank(s). They need someone to do a job and he looks the part!
