Review: 2000 AD – Prog 2165

Some thoughts on this weeks 2000 AD – Prog 2165

JUDGE DREDD: KILL BLOOPY by Kenneth Niemand (w) Dan Cornwell (a) Jim Boswell (c) Annie Parkhouse (l)

We get the background on Billy in this issue, what happened and the appearance of Bloopy. Dredd seems to have a plan, and it’s as made as the rest of the story! Great fun!

BRINK: HATE BOX by Dan Abnett (w) INJ Culbard (a) Simon Bowland (l)

The background of the clip is revealed. Kurtis is pretty clever in getting the information out of the perp in this issue – some good police stuff! The ending was so close, but it looks like we’ve got another problem!

PROTEUS VEX: ANOTHER DAWN by Michael Carroll (w) Henry Flint (a) Simon Bowland (l)

A bloody start to the issue (giving some details on what we saw before) with Vex doing some good investigation. I like the history of the other races, and we’re getting drip-fed information about the chancellor. We’re going off-planet too!

THE ZAUCER OF ZILK: A ZAUCERFUL OF SECRETS by Peter Hogan (w) Brendan McCarthy (a+c) Len O’Grady (c) Jim Campbell (l)

Zaucer’s duel goes a different way to what we thought, but it’s really well done. This issue brought a smile to my face! I like the way it all finished off, and we’re going to find out more about why the fancy pants are on the rampage!

FERAL & FOE by Dan Abnett (w) Richard Elson (a+c) Joe Elson (c) Annie Parkhouse (l)

The twist on getting the magic is interesting! I like the way it all set up and the Tank is a good addition to the realm. There was some deep talk here, but now our mage is powered up!
