Review: 2000 AD – Prog 2185

The new Judge Dredd arc continues today as well as some more continuing stories.

Judge Dredd: End of Days by Rob Williams (w) Colin MacNeil (a) Chris Blythe (c) Simon Bowland (l)

It looks as if Dredd knows the way forward. I like the part with the nukes – it looks like its a strike against Mega-City One, but it’s something else.
Dredd has found what he needs to punch!

Sinister Dexter: Boys in the HUD by Dan Abnett (w) Steve Yeowell (a) John Charles (c) Jim Campbell (l)

Finny talks his way out well in this issue. Meanwhile, we get a lot explained about the Rogue AI and Murder Ink. It all fits together and goes back pretty far. I enjoyed this issue.

Full Tilt Boogie by Alex de Campi (w) Eduardo Ocana (a) Simon Bowland (l)

This looks interesting. I will withhold judgment until we get into a bit more of it, but the mix between the serious and the humour makes this a weird read.

The Order: Land of the Free by Kek-W (w) John Burns (a) Simon Bowland (l)

The rescue is complete, and a good look at some of the other dimensions and a way of transport. There’s a little tension and action here too.

The Diaboliks: La Vita Malvagia by Gordon Rennie (w) Dom Reardon (a) Jim Campbell

A deal is made (with a devil) and it looks like we’ve got the hook for the series. It looks interesting and the reveal at the end of the issue was well done – a nice primer.
