Review: 2000 AD – Prog 2192

Dredd and a mad bear feature this week – some thoughts on this week’s 2000AD.

Now this is a striking cover from Richard Elson. It plays off last week very nicely.

Judge Dredd: End of Days by Rob Williams (w) Henry Flint (a) Chris Blythe (c) Annie Parkhouse (l)

This is an excellent issue, I like the way it all pans out. Dredd does what he does best, and it’s pretty dark. I like the battle with the bear. Anderson has her time to shine, but it’s left in a bleak place.

The Out by Dan Abnett (w) Mark Harrison (a) Annie Parkhouse (l)

The dirty side of the war, and it shows the nasty side of it all. I like the way it all builds up. Things look like they’re going to get nasty.

Full Tilt Boogie by Alex de Campi (w) Eduardo Ocana (a) Simon Bowland (l)

Some excellent fighting scenes here, and I like the way it sets up the battles within. There is a nice mix of dark and light in this issue too.

The Order: Land of the Free by Kek-W (w) John Burns (a) Simon Bowland (l)

More excellent battle scenes – with land, water and air. This continues everything really well. A nice cliffhanger too.

The Diaboliks: Profundo Rosso by Gordon Rennie (w) Antonio Fuso (a) Jim Campbell

An excellent issue. With the investigation and some good fight scenes. I like how it shows the aftermath to it all.
