Review: Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles #107

The new adventures of the mutants in Mutant Town continue in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles #107 from IDW Publishing. My thoughts on this latest issue.

The Turtles take to the sewers to confront the deadly new creature that has been stalking mutants. When their home court advantage is turned against them, no one is safe! Meanwhile, a falling out between Baxter and April could have dire consequences for Mutant Town!

This issue does take us back – as much as Raph wouldn’t like it. Mousers and trooping through the sewers, the Turtles are searching for what is snatching the kids.

The appearance of the mousers adds something to it, and it looks like Baxter Stockman is involved. April is getting the inside scoop. That in itself adds a new dimension to the story.

This was a good continuation of the story, featuring the new ‘Splinter Clan’ working well (ish) together and some of each of the turtles. We even get a check in on the babysitters.

April has to be careful – Stockman doesn’t fully trust her, and she doesn’t trust him, but there must be a bigger plan here.

I liked the bits with the mutant kids, and it looks like there is going to be a learning experience for them.

This, combined with the TMNT Annual 2020 make it a good week.
