Review: 2000 AD – Prog 2211

The end of the Simp arc and more this week in 2000 AD Prog 2211 from Rebellion.

Judge Dredd: Simply Normal by Kenneth Niemand (w) Steven Austin (a) Chris Blyth (c) Annie Parkhouse (l)

A very bittersweet ending here, with some good scenes and interesting closure. I like the mechs still.

Visions of Deadworld by Kek-W (w) Dave Kendall (a) Simon Bowland (l)

What starts as a look at the ‘normal’ people in Deadworld, moves to something darker. This was a good, nasty on-shot for Deadworld and a good taste of what is to come.

Dexter: The Funt Outta Town by Dan Abnett (w) Steve Yeowell (a) John Charles (c) Simon Bowland (l)

Dexter has a plan, but they’ve got to get past the cannibles first. I like the action in this issue and the humour.

Future Shocks: Indistinguishable From… by Joseph Elliott-Coleman (w) Richard Elson (a) Jim Campbell (l)

A nice twist between science and magic here. Something different for a Future Shock. I love the art style and the scenery too.

Fiends of the Eastern Front: Constanta by Ian Edginton (w) Tiernen Trevallion (a) Annie Parkhouse (l)

I didn’t see that twist coming in this final issue. It builds up well for the next series of this excellent story and brings us forward. Knowing what we do about world history.
