Review – Cinderella Annual: Bloody X-mas

For the Christmas season, something a little fun from Zenescope Entertainment Cinderella Annual: Bloody X-mas

Have you missed her? She missed you. Cinderella is back and is making a list and, uh, planning to kill everyone on it twice? In this issue, don’t miss the return of the Grimm Universe’s most insane…er, societally different, resident as she takes on Krampus in the north pole, oh, and holiday cheer…somehow. Don’t eat the red snow this winter!

A return for Cinderella!

This is a violent, fun read.

With Cinderella here for Christmas, she is captured and about to be eaten by the many mouthed minions of Krampus!

That’s not to mean she doesn’t make some friends on the way. There’s a green fellow who doesn’t see much – he’s a bit down on it all, but then there is Norm, who proves to be more helpful.

On Cinderella’s escape, she moves through a number of worlds with there own attacks. Cinderella cuts through them in a bloody way. The changes in art styles for each world work really well and I’m pretty sure that there will be those who recognise at least some of them.

Cinderella’s commentary adds to the sub of the story, and she seems to be enjoying herself in a weird way. The larger than usual page count makers this a fun read without anything being rushed.

The finish is a well-done ending which leaves us something for the future – being that Cinderella is back, and hopefully something to revisit next year!
