Review – Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Jennika II #3

Concluding the mini-series this is Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Jennika II #3 from IDW Publishing.

Deep underground, Jennika comes face-to-face with the source of the new mutant monsters plaguing New York City! To save her community, Jennika will have to confront a TMNT villain she has never fought before!

Brahm Revel (Author, Artist, Cover Artist)

This was a nice finish with a lot of answers given.

It’s not all talk though as there is a fair amount of action.

First though is the capture of Jennika and her new ‘friend’. We discover some more mutants living in the bowls of the city. I do wonder if they will factor in in later stories?

Jennika gets to the bottom of the how and who and she frustratingly find out the why. It re-adds an old enemy to the TMNT stories and it’s really well done. It makes sense too.

Jennika’s worries that have been prevalent in this series come out here, but there is something more. The reactions at the end are really well done and this is something that adds to what the brothers are doing in the main series.

The art is well done with some excellent fast-moving scenes. Especially the train ride.

This was an excellent story.
