By night, werewolves kill off villagers. By day, angry villagers kill off suspected werewolves. (But oops; sometimes they just kill off "innocent villagers.") Werewolf requires observation, some deduction, and a lot of bold-faced lying. Who will prevail: the werewolves or the villagers? An average game take 15-20 minutes and is a lot of fun. (This game is similar to, but better than, Mafia.)

One hundred years ago, Gustav E. Pazaurek opened a so called "Cabinet of Bad Taste" to categorize all kinds of design mistakes. Today, the Museum of Things in Berlin features a great exhibition that gives new life to Pazaurek's efforts with contemporary items including material mistakes, design mistakes, decorative mistakes and terrible kitsch. Accordingly, to recognize good taste, one must first eliminate bad taste. Enjoy our probably 'worst' gallery ever!

The most common question I get at conventions, the most frequent type of letter written to me at Marvel or c/o this column, features a variation on the following. (The exact wording is taken from the letter of one young man in Mansfield, Ohio. I’m not running his name because the letter wasn’t to the column, and I don’t want to violate confidentiality. But it was one of the better written letters I’ve received on the subject.)
