CD Comics: Football Crazy

FOOTBALL CRAZY

THE THEATRE OF NIGHTMARES ON
THE ROAD TO INSANITY

Following on from the success of their digital comics ‘Meadowhell’ and ‘Spring Heeled Jack’, Sheffield independent comic company CDComics has produced the third in their Surreal Murder Mystery Series.

The reader can follow Sheffield United on an eventful F.A Cup run. The story starts with a F.A Cup Third Round Replay and Steel City Derby against Sheffield Wednesday, but then the bizarre and macabre nightmare begins.

One of the Sheffield United players is murdered in strange circumstances and the Police led by D.I Charlton must find out who the killer is and why they killed a footballer.

This macabre story has plenty of twists and turns, along with lots of Sheffield locations and also visits several of England’s larger football stadiums with cameos by the famous from English football. Matches against Manchester United, Liverpool, Arsenal, Spurs and Wolves are all covered in Roy of the Rovers style pages. This is a blend of football and horror is a tongue in cheek narrative with an unexpected conclusion that will have you questioning the sanity of all things football.

“Football Crazy is ‘Roy of the Rovers’ meets ‘CSI’, but set in the ‘Twilight Zone’, it’s for football fans with a sense humour, who like a ‘whodunit’ and all the clues are in the comic, but I’m hoping I keep the reader guessing until the last few pages.”

This 66 page Graphic Novel brings together football and horror and is available to download from Drive Thru Comics priced $0.99/70p UK.
