Review: 2000AD – Prog 1834

A bit of a self referential cover there, which refers to whats ongoing in Zombo at the end of last weeks issue and this weeks issue!

After last weeks revelation in Judge Dredd, we find out about the death of another cadet in The Forsaken. With the mix of flashback and interview we find out a little more of the undercity of Mega City One as well as a switch from what we thought we knew about the departments cloning. It’s well done and takes our assumptions and uses them against us – how that’s going to pan out though….

We also get more follow up in Cadet Andersson, with the next part to this adventure from last weeks discovery by the team. So far it seems ‘by the numbers’, but the ending is suitably grim, and leads on nicely to next week.

Stickleback comes close to the end, with planning and a plan in place, all that’s missing from this excellent tale is the villains monologue and the end play. It’s all falling into place and Stickleback’s attitude is perfectly suited to the story!

Although this is the final part of this Zombo story, we can expect more Zombo soon! This was a fun, demented ending with the usual mix of craziness. Where we’re going from here?
