Review: 2000AD – Prog 1844

The return of Slaine with variant covers in this weeks issue of 2000AD, and it looks good!

Judge Dredd mops up the remains of the Godcity in Scavengers with some nice humour and a decent amount of action here. The addition of the ‘nice’ Klegg was a good touch and added some humour to what could of been a dark tale. This was a fun tale that takes Dredd out of his comfort zone and away from Mega City 1.

Defoe moves in an unexpected direction in The Damned this has been a tight tale with some large scenes and excellent artwork This episode is closer and fares well. I’m enjoying this series more than previous ones.

Slaine returns in Book of Scars with some amazing art and a brilliant introduction to this new series. The mix of sex and violence was excellent here, and I’m looking forward to reading more!

Age of the Wolf III – Wolfworld combines the action with some added peril to the story. A simple way of dealing with a potential issue to the story. This is fun to read and perfectly paced.

The Ten-Seconders gives us a man with the power of a god – and what goes wrong! This is a dark story with people you don’t entirely trust. It all works well though, although it could move faster!
