Review: 2000AD – Prog 1850

This is an excellent jumping on point for new readers!

As a jumping on point for new readers we get four new stories this week! And a pretty crazy cover too!

Judge Dredd starts the ball rolling with ‘New Tricks’ documenting at first what seems to be a story of two new/old recruits – getting themselves ready for life in Mega City One. We get some good back story on them both – one from a smaller city, the other a defector!. Then at the end it moves into something else – something under the city. I’m looking forward to this one!

Damnation Station is a Blade Runner style story, with aliens, the army and more – we get a good overview of the world we live in – it’s not ours – and where the story is going. Adding in the mystery looks good with some screwy art!

Flesh mixes past and present with Dinosaurs and future tech – there’s the fun of the nasty dinos and a western feel to it all. Worth checking out!

Brass Sun returns – this is a highly enjoyable read with some brilliant art. Space, gears, murder and politics.
