I’d made a decision to give the Infinity a miss, my pull list is big enough without some extra ones – plus I’d done age of Ultron too! Nova #8 is part of the crossover, but it’s done in a way that you don’t need to be involved in the main story. This arc has the new Nova approached by former New Warriors to join them – this didn’t go well. We already know that Thanos is a ‘Big Bad’ and longtime Nova fans know there is a history there between the mad titan and the Nova corps!
This is just set up for the battle to come between the new Nova and Thanos’s assassin and it goes quite well. This is as close to Spider-Man in style, but without the baggage of continuity and this is a good a place as any for any new readers to jump in!
