Review: Star Wars #9

starwars9

I’ve enjoyed this series so far, and this issue has to be my favourite. Splitting between four different threads we gradually are getting to see them drawn together.

First with Leia – out at the ruins of Alderaan, she meets someone on a large ship and gets an unpleasant surprise meeting someone from her home planet.

We also get Han in an epic battle against Boba Fett which is full of speed and a change of pace from the other arcs.

We see what Vader is up to rooting out trouble in his own ranks and his search for Skywalker.

Talking of Skywalker – he and Wedge are on board the Superstar Destroyer…

In all this is an excellent comic and a great read for those who have only seen the movies and don’t want to get bogged down in the Extended Universe.

The art is excellent – making Vader look menacing and the other very close to the actors who played them!
