No More GI Joe, True Blood or Doctor Who Standalone Digital Comics Apps!

IDW_comiXology

Just in from Comixology, who provide the engine behind IDW Publishing’s digital comics apps.

We wanted to let you know that our G.I. Joe, True Blood, and Doctor Who apps are riding off into the sunset and are no longer available for download via the App Store.

You can still read your digital library and continue growing it inside the Comics app for iOS, if you haven’t downloaded it already. All of your purchases are still completely accessible on our apps thanks to your cloud-based comiXology account, so be sure to log into the app with your username and password to sync your books. You can also check out IDW’s official app and website with that same comiXology username.

It looks like they would rather drive people towards the IDW Publishing or Comixology apps than individual series. Also note that IDW no longer have the Doctor Who licence!
