IN THIS ISSUE:
End of the Road
Judge Dredd // End of the Road
(Part: 1)

Mega-City One, 2130 AD. This vast urban nightmare on the east coast of post-apocalyptic North America is home to 400 million citizens, every one a potential criminal. With lawlessness rife, only the Judges can prevent total anarchy. These future lawmen are judge, jury and executioner. Toughest of them all is Judge Dredd – he is the Law!

The Thru’Penny Opera
Stickleback // The Thru’Penny Opera
(Part: 12)

London, the end of the nineteenth century. STICKLEBACK is a master criminal, pulling the strings amidst the denizens of the capital’s underworld, and leads a gang of freaks, oddballs and semi-supernatural entities that have got the city under their thumb.

Prince of Darkness
Greysuit // Prince of Darkness
(Part: 11)

Britain, 2007. The UK government has many departments that deal with covert operations, and enforce the country’s interests overseas. One such shadowy band of agents are called GREYSUITS, the equivalent of the USA’s fabled Men in Black. Specially conditioned by their masters, they have augmented speed and strength…

1911
Kicking off with an awesome cover for Stickleback!
Judge Dredd – End of the road is a one-shot story, with a lot of action, it’s almnost a full on chase scene with some traditional Mega City One humour thrown in. The attitude of the supporting Judge at the beginning was interesting, and it will be interesting to see if this carries on. The layouts also add to the action very well
Greysuit – Prince of Darkness moves the story on more so, but in a way that is unexpected at the beginning of the story. Flipping between flashbacks and the present can be a bit jarring, but it’s getting there! I especially like the colouring in this series!
Finally, Stickleback – The Thru’ Penny Opera concludes with a massive twist (no spoilers from me) but it definitely leads into something bigger, that we may not have expected. The battle for London concludes and there are some excellent scenes here!
