Quick Reviews: Angry Birds, Edward Scissorhands, V-Wars, TMNT & Mutanimals

Some thoughts on this week's digital comics from IDW Publishing!

Angry Birds #9 continues worth some fun short stories that I enjoy reading to my son. There are some excellent comedy moments – mainly coming from the pics! I hope they stay to the younger humor though, as there is a danger of missing out of the younger market! I especially liked the 'Giant Pigs' story!

Edward Scissorhands #5 brings us to the end of the arc, with a resolution of sorts and a way forward for Edward and the townspeople! This, like the movie is a story with a lot of heart. I'm glad to see that this is ongoing, as I think there are more stories to tell!

Another ending, this time with V-Wars #11. Finishing off the main story in preparation for two mini series layer in the year. There are continuous twists and turns in this story, and I really enjoy it. The references are not lost on me!

Along with a one shot story, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: New Animated Adventure #21 brings us another two part story with the turtles battling Baxter Stockman and a giant spider. Throwing some of these two part stories in every so often is a good idea!

Mutanimals #2 continues the spin off of the main TMNT series with a look at the villains of the piece. The Mutanimals are still a little rough around the edges, but there are some nice pieces and I would love to see some more links to the main series.
