Transylvania, Kentucky is being overrun by Monster Motors! Vampire cars that suck gas from their victims! Lunar-powered werewolf vehicles that grow fangs and claws when the moon is full! I’m glad to see this turn into a series after IDW Publishing’s one shot last year. There is a lot to do here with monster cars based on the traditional tropes – Dracula, The Werewolf, Frankenstein and Zombies! the humour is still there, but in addition to this we get a nice human element with Victor dealing with the problem of monster cars. This can also work as a good point for new readers, but I would recommend reading the one-shot! The art is fun, and detailed – possibly a little too cluttered sometimes – but the colours and working are still there – I’m looking forward to #2!
