Review: The Private Eye #10

The end of this maxi series finishes with a flourish!

Jumping straight on from the last issue’s cliffhanger we get some glorious scenes – the city seen from above, and the ‘press’ helicopter!

This issue is split into two parts – the firsts deals with the set up from the previous issue, with our heroes in very terrible danger. The giant panels in this landscape view make it worthwhile – it’s a big danger and needs to be taken in!

IMG_2496The second half deals with the fallout of the series – the effect it had on those involved, and the world they live in.

There are some excellent character moments here, especially with a fan favorite as PI’s grandfather – the fallout deals with all of this in a bittersweet way.

This series has been excellent. Will there be a second volume? I don’t know, although the ending is open-ended, I wonder if it is best left that way, as the story suggests!
