Review: 2000 AD Prog 1933

1933

This weeks Prog concludes three stories!

Breaking Bud completes with Judge Dredd battling the Time Cops. It’s really well done with Dredd getting the better of them. We get the conclusion to the Bud storyline as well as the rogue Time Cop and the bands! I’ve enjoyed this story and it will be interesting to see if the bands/time cops are used in future stories!

Slaine kicks off this time with a little backstory, with some of the soldiers talking and wondering about the future, then we get there! Fire and mental tracking seems to be the order of the day with Slaine and Sinead running through the burning forest with soldiers waiting for them! – Then we get some classic Slaine ready for next issue!

An interesting Future Shocks here with a political bent to it! The idea of being called out for any certain ‘untruths’ is an interesting one, but this takes it to another level!

We get the final part of Tharg’s 3rillers – Commercial Break – with the aliens attacking and the team working with their new found powers to fight them off! This could be better than a 3 part story as it does seem a little rushed!

Finally we get the last part of The Stix Fix with Johnny Alpha doing what he does best! There’s a lot of violence here, with Alpha fighting off enemy troops! It’s a fast moving ending to the story with Johnny getting his way in the end – in more ways than one! It will be interesting to see where he goes from here!
