Reviews: Coven, Tales Of Terror & Robyn Hood

The latest Zenescope digital comics reviewed!

Grimm Fairy Tales: Coven #1

A group of unsuspecting women are burned at the stake in modern New England. The men responsible call themselves the New Crusaders and they are determined to find a woman named Avril Williams, a young witch more powerful than anyone could ever
imagine. It’s a race against time as Baba Yaga returns in one of the most intense and exciting Grimm Universe titles of 2015!

A new series from Zenescope adds more witchcraft and, by the looks of it, betrayal and battles! As a group of witches are killed, a ‘chosen one’ is captured and it looks like it’s all a plan to capture Baba Yaga! This looks to be an interesting read for existing Zenescope readers, as well as new readers! There’s still a lot to learn about the characters in this story, but it looks an interesting read!

Grimm Fairy Tales: Tales of Terror #12

The newest issue of Zenescope’s Horror anthology series is here! As Keres continues her path of punishing the wicked, one man will wish for a 2nd chance he may not get.

A new one-shot story for the tales of terror, this is a slightly simpler story, and it’s hard to talk about without it being spoiled, but it’s a (grimm) humoured tale, with a gangster getting buried alive and escaping – that’s about all I can say. Although I would like to see a continuation about this story!

Robyn Hood #12

A TALE OF ROT
The Rotter, a man cursed to live forever as his body continues to decompose, has roped Robyn and Marian into helping him break the horrible spell. But in order to do so, they must
journey into the Rotter’s past, and that might prove much
darker than anyone expected.

This issue refers to a previous story of a immortal who is cursed to live forever and decompose forever! The investigation on how this occurred is interesting with some downright creepy children, as well as the solution to the ending of it. It’s not a totally happy ending, but it is an ending nevertheless, done with heart!
