The final issue of this mini-series leaves the door open for a future run on this futuristic series. We get a look at the world as the disease spreads across the world and Jadas finds out about the results of his birth and the causes of the infection spreading across the world. There is some interesting points, which could be viewed as well from today as from the futuristic point of view. I admit I thought the ending did seem kind of rushed as there not only could have been more resolution, but more exposition and slowing of the pace at the end. Another issue would have fit nicely!

Dirk Gently’s Holistic Detective Agency #5

Will the museum’s gala event for King Ahktenkhamen, a serial-killing couple, and a soul-stealing phone all wrap up nicely here? Of course not! Luckily, Dirk wouldn’t have it any other way.

Wrapping up the series nicely, I was pleased to see that Dirk and the team would be returning in the future for another adventure. This issue brings all the threads together, hints at the future and settles Dirk in with his new team and status quo. I’ve really enjoyed this series and it’s great to see it wrap up so neatly – which is kind of the point with Dirk!
