Reviews: Escape From Monster Island & Robyn Hood: I Love NY

Thoughts on two of this weeks digital comics from Zenescope Entertainment

This is a really fast moving issue, with many aspects of the story all wrapped up well. The characters all get what is coming to them, and it all seems to work out well. I would say that there is a small potential for a sequel to the story, which may or may not be a good thing. There is some excellent art as the race to escape the island progresses – including some really large battle scenes! I’ve enjoyed this series and have enjoyed all the characters – well done!

Robyn Hood goes after missing persons. This works out well as a one-shot story, but obviously builds onto part of the bigger picture of this 12-issue mini series. Robyn works fast and this is a fast issue with a lot going on and also making it unique to New York (in the sewers!) The art is crisp and tight and we get a nice cliffhanger at the end with a not-all reveal at the end!
