Thoughts on two of this weeks digital comics from Zenescope
This is an art book, but you do get a short Robyn Hood story first. It’s kind of linked into the photo shoot theme of the issue and has some fun Robyn moments, including a reference to her own eye, which is sometimes missed. The villain is quickly dispatched and there is an ending, but I wonder if she could have been used again?
Then we get the photo shoots, which are a collection of cover quality art pieces of all the lovely ladies of GFT!
These include:
- Keres
- Baba Yaga
- Sela Mathers
- Goblin Queen
- Queen Of Hearts
- Britney Waters (Red Riding Hood)
- Angelica Blackstone (Hellchild)
- Masumi
- Mary Medina
- Erica (The Little Mermaid)
- Mowglii
- Dorothy Gale
- Belinda
- Glinda
- Lynessa
- Cinderella
- The Dark Queen
- Calie Liddle
- Queen Of Spades
- Alice Liddle
- Zamora
- Venus
- Liesel Van Helsing
- Mercy Dante
- Belle
- Violet Liddle
- Missy
- Robyn Hood
Wow!
After we get our ‘Frankenstein’ reveal last issue, things go rapidly go downhill for Van Helsing as we follow her to stop Frankenstein’s rampage. There are some excellent scenes as the two go back and forth and we get a good look into Van Helsing’s mind as she works out how to battle him. We also get a look into Frankenstein’s mind with some excellent looking flashbacks which give us an understanding. We get a new addition to the story at the end, and things may go worse here!
